This position is responsilble for the exploring/analyzing of given HW/SW architectures of BMW and OEM's in competition. He/She needs a vast overview of the state-of-the-art architectures. In addition he/she needs excellent in-depth knowledge of SW architectures (on-board and off-board) with that, new technical concepts shall be defined in accordance to new customer requirements. Together with the PO-T's of the Business Lines the postion drives the technical conception in order to achieve open, scalable and maintainable architectures in all aspects. Responsibilities Support Product Offer BL to evalutates each produst idea/offer from technical perspective (on-board, off-board, UX/UI, system arciteture, plant-integration) which delivers the decision base for the Connected Company China. Evaluates BMW and competitors HW/SW architectures. Derives future architecture out of that based on state-of the art technologies First contact for pre-development projects to ensure technical feasibility and generating architectural concepts for these projects. Lead architct for translating customer requirements from descriptive level to technical possibilities and concepts to ensure scalability, integratibility and maintainability of BMW (CN) architectures Access to trends and technologies in China, gain an overview of the latest technology development Cross functional collaboration with partner management, product owner, innovation and purchasing Qualifications University degree required, in Engineering, Information Technology or similar Customer oriented mindset Deep understanding of automotive industry and CE industry Architecture know how, be able to evaluate the technical feasibility and state-of-the artin architecture design Open innovation mindset Ability to create and develop self-motivated products Project management skills Communication and collaboration skills. Chinese and English written and spoken language/communication skills; German desirable. Knowledge about several technological areas like IT, operation systems, bus systems (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, LIN), artificial intelligence, automotive, user interface. Proficiency with industry software tools (Unity, etc) is desired.
